We Survived Icemageddon

At the tail-end of winter, a severe, multi-day ice storm hit Indian River RV Resort and the surrounding area. The power was out for 10 days, along with many road closures. There was no way to get to the resort for the usual preparations for opening for the season.

After a brave neighbor assured us she couldn’t see much damage, we were finally able to come have a look ourselves. We were stunned as we counted our blessings. Sure, we had lots of fallen trees, but somehow the heavy trees and icy brush “just missed” the buildings, electrical, siding, and roofs. (Yes, we believe in angels. Do you?)

Every year, we are excited to bring improvements that add value to your stay. Our fun projects may be on hold based on the damage, as storm cleanup will continue to be the priority. But we are OPEN as of May 1st, as usual. And, despite the wicked winters in Michigan, Indian River RV Resort is a dream come true in the spring, summer, and early autumn months, so we hope to see you soon!
