New Geo-Grid Campsites
Construction has begun on a trio of Geo-Grid sites! Shown here is Site No. 33, which overlooks the playground and pool area. The site is getting a front patio and steps, as well as an RV pad. "That site has been built up about a foot in the corner, by the sign, in order to level it," says Terrell Deppe, co-owner of Indian River RV Resort with his wife, Katie. "The paver patio is 8 ft x 18 ft. with steps down to the oversized yard."
Geo-grids have a high load-bearing capacity and prevent RVs from shifting or sinking into mud. Adding sand and gravel to the interlocking honeycomb structure—the geo grid—creates a permanent, rut-free parking area that allows water to flow through and be absorbed into the earth.
